Hmm, I started getting into family guy recently, not sure how that happened, but it's quite funny. Especially the almost live comedy ones are interesting to watch. Other than that, I also started watching Craig Ferguson interviewing funny people - I'm not usually that interested in late night shows, but he has a such great way goofing around with those celebrities that he connects with.
Ok, on a completely different note, near my house there is a little Chinese barbecue place, a take-out place (imagine those Portuguese churrasco places but with Chinese food and Chinese people...). Not only do they have extremely tasty barbecue pork, duck and soya sauce chicken, but the chopping station and the cashier / order station are both manned by women. An unusual sight, and something I noticed the first time I walked into but never really spent much thinking about... except for maybe associating them with yummy Chinese barbecue. As I have been going more frequently, I'm starting to think about it a bit more, wondering how they have gotten there, if they had encountered any resistance, stereotyping or whatnot. Why aren't there more women at those barbecueing stations? That they are makes them pioneers of our time - kind of embarrassing that we still have so many gender stereotypes hanging around.
